You ever eat a meal in another country that was so good you will never forget or duplicate it?

Sort:

I've never been to any country, but I have dream destinations across the world. I just can't afford as of now. 😂 However, since there are imported products available in some stores here in our country, I have tried few.
If I were to indulge in one unforgettable meal, I want any European meal.

most of Europe has blah food :D

Arabic Paratha in Mecca, Saudi Arabia during early 80s. Still remember the taste.

Had to look it up. It is like Naan?

Yes, but a bit different. It is fried in oil, very little amount of oil, just to give it a golden color. This is is Paratha.

Arabic Paratha, I ate in Mecca had some minced meat, eggs, green chillies and some other vegetables in very small quantities. Eggs were the main ingredients.

Sounds like a wonderful experience for you.

No doubt, it was.

So many man.

I had a spaghetti on Bellagio (Lago Di Como) and I'd kill for another.

Baguettes in France too. Had some amazing Thai food in Thailand, waffles in Belgium, Cornish Pasties in southern UK (Cornwall)...That's just the tip of the iceberg though...so many, too fucken many to list.

Sounds jjst amazing.

For me it is mainly two. Gyros in Corfu and Seafood Pizza in Malta. It may be that it is not so much about the food, but about the place and people too. I have eaten good food in other countries. But those really stick out to me in my memory as great food, but a great time as well.

I agree, it's the whole thing, the setting, not just the food. I've not been to Corfu or Malta but have plans to do so; I'll report back on the food.

Wish I knew the locations. But they were both hole in the wall mom & pop places. Just stumbled upon them.

There have been a few - but one thing I keep telling my daughter about was a watermelon ice cream I had as a kid in Australia. Nothing has come close since.

Now that sounds special.

Still not sure about the meal, but having some fresh bread sitting in the park behind the Sagrada familia cathedral in Barcelona on my wife and I's first trip together was decent :)

That is awesome! Imagine you can still smell the bread too?

Never in a different country, but in a different city yes!
