Ever have the feeling you want to break something? Or blow something up? Or run someone over with a car? Then your probably dealing with the feeling of anger. It's part of life, and the driving force behind much conflict in the world. How exactly do we deal with this though?
I've tried them all. Walking away, the silent treatment, yelling, breaking something, hitting a wall, and probably some other stuff. Only thing I haven't really tried is meditation. Something close to meditation that worked for a while was just fully avoiding conflict. When a conflicting situation arises, just say ok, and continue with what you were doing. It stops working in some practical situations, like at an office. Your boss would probably not like you just nonchalantly avoiding all conflict and would rather have you resolve it.
Another way to fight of anger is to use it as the force behind your motivation to achieve your goals. Kind of like what some people who go to the gym do. In the end we cannot live without anger, but we can deal with it in many ways, or else it will get the best of us.
