I think it's worth trying to enter Threads with my photos - I won't lose anything on it
You can lose only time, but if your blog becomes big, you'll become a real micro-influencer with potential cooperation with photo companies like Nikon, Canon, etc.
Flickr is quite old, once lively, now too many communities are dead there. 500px - I heard about it of course, but I have no idea, what's happening there.
500px is still very much alive and remains a valuable platform for photographers, although standing out there is far from easy. The community is largely dominated by well-established photographers with years of experience and strong portfolios, so new accounts usually need more time and consistency to gain visibility.
One of the platform’s biggest advantages is its Editor’s Choice feature. Photos selected by the editorial team are showcased in a dedicated gallery, giving them significantly greater exposure and often resulting in a substantial increase in views, likes, and overall engagement.
500px also organizes images into a wide range of photography categories. Within each category, photos can appear in three main sections: Fresh, Upcoming, and Popular. Every newly uploaded image starts in the Fresh section. If it attracts enough attention early on through views, likes, and positive ratings, it may be promoted to Upcoming. From there, the best-performing images have the opportunity to reach Popular, where they receive the highest level of exposure and can be seen by a much larger audience.

Threads
Great you decided to give Threads a try! Threads needs some time to learn what you offer to guess whom to show your posts. Happily, there is no "recycling" restriction on Threads like on Hive, so you can post your unnoticed images again later when your account is more visible.
@davideownzall assumes Threads prefer people to blog in their local languages - I also have this suspicion based on observations... It might be you need a bit more time to warm up your account if you blog in English. (These are only assumptions).
The toughest thing is to convert likes into subscribers but the fact that newbies can get such visibility makes me feel optimistic. I also hope Threads is even more generous as soon as it sees that a blogger posts consistently for a month or so.
Actually, it may be right that it will be easier to get going in your native language. I'll try and check if that's really the case.
I also like the fact that you can regularly straighten several times a day and I see that after other profiles that it brings results.
