Are there bitey things that crawl up in the night?

To be honest, yes is the answer. We have these little centipede things that have a terrible and venomous bite that regularly get up the drains and are fast as fuck. They can also grow up to nearly a foot long, I'll get a photo for you next time I see one in the garden although the wife's mother whacks them with a shovel if she sees one!
The big ones will need a trip to casualty for most people and have been known to kill people.

Absolutely. Its only when I started travelling that I realised how lucky we are. Some of the bugs here are like things from nightmares. Hope you guys are having a great day and best wishes to all :-)
