I'm so pleased you found my story captivating. I was hoping it turned out as such. That canine knew where he wanted to be. The connection he made with Mr. Shalamaz was stronger than he felt for Agnes. To run away three times gave Agnes the validation she needed to allow Bailey to choose. I felt that she respected his wishes.

You know the story reminded me of my mother. When we were small, every dog in the neighborhood would come and stay close to and sleep under our house. It was amazing. We knew they belonged to our neighbors, but they just kept coming. I always wondered if it was due to the fact she fed them as well as she did us.
