Hey dear friends: welcome to my last post of 2020!
Last night I went out around four o'clock with the intention of photographing the last full moon of 2020.
I thought: with so much light emitting from the full moon, it will be easy to get a sharp photo.... but what?
I tried every setting imaginable, but there was no way I could get a clear picture of the moon... and yet I could see it so well with the naked eye!
The photo looks like a strange flag of some terrorist group or satanic cult, doesn't it? ๐๐๐
There are two cases: either I'm a dweeb (unable to exploit the potential of my SLR) or my lens and/or CCD sensor are not working properly... what do you think, @samstonehill? ๐
Well, I made up for it by photographing the reflected lights on the Entella river... even if the photo is largely blurred, I like it... and that's what counts!

Well, after several useless attempts, I came back home to rest a bit, but I didn't get any sleep.
So at 6 a.m. I reached Sestri Levante (this time by car, to be quicker) with the intention of taking pictures in twilight.
I must say that, compared to the moon, even with reduced brightness the landscapes were quite successful... thanks also to the application of filters in post production! ๐
A few weeks ago I was struck by @mipiano's challenge to photograph narrow alleys...
... well, I haven't measured it and it's probably not as narrow as the alley she photographed in Altea, but it's still a nice alley overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, isn't it?
Leaving the Baia del Silenzio area, I took also some photos of the wider beach of Sestri Levante, facing the Tigullio Gulf...
Well, satisfied with the shots taken, and after having bought a cheese focaccia in the only bakery (and restaurant) open in the village, I decided to take a walk in the mountains, precisely near the village of Leivi, which is above Chiavari.
I was struck by this colourful little church... unfortunately it was closed and barred, so I could only admire it from the outside.
Who said that without sunlight photographs do not come out well?
I was enraptured by this view, so much so that I stopped the car in the middle of the road and took this photo on the fly using my mobile phone: not bad, right?
These low clouds filling the valleys reminded me of the sights I often admired during airline flights... could it be the desire to travel again? ๐
Finally, this splendid view of Chiavari from the hinterland: Liguria is really a marvellous region, which offers sea and mountains within walking distance... in the past I have come to Leivi several times while running!
And now we come to the recent challenge launched by Gabriella aka @mipiano...
@mipiano's challenge...
Who will be this man in the middle of the sea, challenging the waves and the low temperatures of the morning?
He's a bit green... is he the incredible Hulk? ๐
No, come on... it's a statue in the middle of the Baia del Silenzio in Sestri Levante... pretty, isn't it?
The fact remains that I accepted the challenge to (at least) wet my feet in our wonderful Mediterranean Sea... do you want to do the same?
Look at the video "Proof Of Wet Feet..." ๐
Thank you for your time!
Any feedback from you is always very welcome!
If you glad, see you tomorrow? ๐
A huge hug! ๐ค
