Don't get dehydrated - drink more healthy fluids!

One of the risks with edema is that you dehydrate. Even though you are bloated and full of fluid, you do not take in enough water and other healthy liquids to help get your body back on track.

The issue is that you are bloated and sick feeling and do not want to eat or drink anything at all.

If anything, you should drink MORE water with edema raging in your body. Your systems are not working well and the more fluid and trips to the bathroom, the better.

You are trying to flush all the old fluid out; not leave it there to keep rotting in your tissues. This is the reason diuretics help.

I am guilty of not drinking enough in the course of a normal day. Before I lost weight and got healthy, I only drank diet soda, and that was a hard habit to break.

If I drank as much water as I used to drink diet soda, I might have something.

I do have some tips and tricks for water drinking, and need to focus on them now:

  • drink the adrennal cocktail 2X per day. This is helpful in many ways aside from edema. I am pretty good at keeping up with this habit.
  • add lime or other fruit flavoring to water to make it tastier
  • drink cold water
  • drink hot water
  • drink some water each time I get up from my seat
  • drink some water each time I finish drinking something else
  • drink a lot before sleeping
  • drink a lot upon awakening

Any ideas from you? I am open to trying anything!

My photos are both from SE Asian airports, where they do not let you bring your own water in so you do not blow the place up. Sigh...

Drink water right as you wake up.

Drink water 1/2 an hour before a meal.

Make your water look "fancy"

It’s really important to stay hydrated. Not sure what else you could do other than what you’re doing.

@fitinfun They are excellent recommendations for people to avoid the problem of fluid retention and edema. I think we should avoid sweetened beverages, reduce sugar consumption and avoid toxins such as cigarettes and alcohol. I hope my friend can recover your health and be happy.

Glad to hear from you and thank you for the reminder -- about to slice a lime and drink quite a bit before I go to bed...

i add lime and some pink salt, .. if i can manage it - chug a glass of water with 2 table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar, .. firs thing in the morning on empty stomach.

Good info on water and flushing out your system @fitinfun.

Since we have our own well, it is important to have the well water tested to make sure it is safe. If one is worried about tape water in the city it would be wise to boil it.

That’s something I wonder about when drinking bottled water. Where is it really coming from?

I try not to drink much before bedtime if I want to sleep the night without getting up several times to urinate.

Yay!
