❄️❄️I woke up to a winter wonderland this morning, my breath rising as neat and pure vapor. The 1st of June brought freezing temperatures to our usually sunny South Africa!❄️❄️

There are days when I wish I could stay home in my warm, cozy bed, hands wrapped around a warm cup of coffee... but then the winter morning takes my hand and shows me its beauty through nature. Each icy crystal on the leaves so unique, awaiting the gentle touch of the morning sun.

🥶⛄Unfortunately my car turned into an ice block as well! We were quite late for school, trying to defrost the windshield!🥶⛄

🥶❄️I work at a charming, farm-style school in the middle of the city. It is a hidden gem in the midst of the hustle and bustle of busy Gauteng, South Africa! The sun is rising later and later each morning and was just peeking out, its dazzling rays striking through the trees when we arrived at school. ☀️☀️

🦢🐇We have many types of critters seeking refuge in our solitude, we have bunnies, geese, little snakes, mice and all types of birds frolicking on our playground. Our resident moles were apparently freezing last night as well, you can still see the ice crystals on the mole heaps.🦢🐇

This is one of our resident moles, popping out to say hi!

🥶❄️All of the leaves on the ground were covered in the tiny ice crystals, the grass completely frosted. It is clear that autumn has left us to make way for one of our coldest winters in years, if this cold front is anything to go by!🌨️⛄

I am always awe-struck by the beauty of nature and how it changes with the different seasons. The browns and oranges of autumn, have now made way for the white, graceful winter whites.
###### ❄️I enjoyed sharing my frosty winter school with you. I hope you enjoyed my icy post!! Keep warm South Africa!!!❄️
