Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling of looking for something, especially when you know where you left it.
I really abhor looking for things and i dont hide the disappointment in my face when i look for something.
I can't even remember how many times I've left something behind. 2025 was the worst and the best.
I used this words because, i actually recovered everything i mistaken left behind.
January 10, 2025; the church that day was a little empty because most of our members had travelled back to their hometown. They church returns back to normal around 23rd.
That sunday the pastor asked that i both lead the prayer session and preach that day. It was unplanned.
I mounted up to lead the prayer session. After thirty minutes, i was about rounding up the prayer. I made declarations and amongst everything i said there, i said "this year we would have activities of angels."
The truth was that i wasnt careful to say those words and i believed it so dearly.
2025 was filled with a lot of supernatural activities i couldnt explain.
So, on a beautiful sunday morning, i was asked to go get fuel for the geneartor because we didnt trust the NEPA light in Nigeria.
I pocketed my phone as i hailed a keke ride. After getting the fuel, on my way back, i had a lot of cash in hand, so i dropped my phone on the keke seat because i wanted to pocket the cash.
That was also the same time the keke ride was also dropping me in my destination. So, i totally forgot my phone on the seat as i paid the driver.
I did the necessary in church and after like thirty minutes i observed that my phone wasnt with me.
Since my home was close to the church i ran home to see if i had left it on my bed.
The church members knew i was a little bit unsettled. They helped by calling the phone and all of a sudden it was unreachable.
During the praise session, as the praise leader, i sang like nothing was even wrong. Twenty minutes after the praise session, during intercessory prayers, i noticed some activites at the back, as ine of the ushers was called out.
Immediately, she signalled for me and i quickly ran out.
Guess what??????
It was the keke man, he came back to return the phone to me. He had suspected amongst all his passengers that it would belong to me.
That was how God saved me from early misfortune.
You woupd think i learnt my lesson from that, a week later, i also forgot another thing in another keke.
The funny thing about this things is that, I'm always about bringing out money and i would mistakenly leave my property in there.
I taught in a school. After classes had ended i decided to go home instead of waiting.
The last ride in the keke, i was also the only passenger remaining.
I had pocketed some cash, so i placed my wallet down to remove the cash from my pocket.
I paid the driver and got into the house. This happened atound 6pm.
By 10pm in the night, i received a call.
A part of me didnt want to pick the call because i thought to myself, "who calls by this time of the night?"
Not knowing it was my savior.
I picked the call and it was a keke man asking if i forgot my wallet.
Till then i hadnt even discovered i had lost the wallet.
So, i just said yes because i didnt see my wallet the place i normally placed it.
He told me he would return it for me the next day in front of my house.
The funny thing about this story was that, i forgot a piece of paper in the wallet. Till today i didnt know why i didn’t throw that piece of paper away.
In that paper was my phone number because i had just picked up a waybill two weeks before that incident.
The keke man searched the wallet and found that paper and decided to call the number there and tha was how my wallet got back to me.
Some will say coincidence, i say its God's help.
The cash in the wallet was complete, nothing was stolen and everything was complete.
I was careless and reluctant but God still.helped me.
Imagine loosing a phone and a wallet in two weeks span.
