Sometimes strange thoughts come to mind late at night. You know, those quiet moments when everything around you is silent and the mind starts asking questions. Sometimes I even start my thoughts the same way we greet someone: “How are you brother? Everything fine?” And then I ask the same question to myself. Am I really fine? Is everything really fine inside the heart?
A few days ago a line came to my mind:
“Don’t sit in a beautiful illusion… hearts don’t find the way to each other anymore.”
At first it felt like a simple poetic sentence, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how true it can be.
In life, many of us live with small illusions. We believe someone understands us deeply. We think someone feels the same way about us. We imagine that the connection between two hearts is strong enough to survive distance, silence, or time.
But reality sometimes teaches us differently.
I remember my own experience. There is someone in my life whom I respect deeply. I care about her a lot. She is not with me physically, and our paths are not simple. Sometimes she replies to my messages, sometimes she disappears for days. And during those quiet days, I find myself checking my phone again and again, hoping maybe there will be a message.
Strange feeling, right?
The mind says, “Maybe she is busy.”
The heart says, “Maybe she just doesn’t feel the same today.”
But even in those moments, something interesting happens. Instead of anger, I feel a kind of calm acceptance. Because love, real love, is not always loud. Sometimes it is silent patience.
She once told me something that stayed in my mind. She said she is proud of the way I think, proud of my mindset, proud that I try to stay positive even when life is confusing. And honestly, those words meant more to me than many other things.
Because respect in a relationship is rare.
Still, I learned an important lesson. Sometimes we sit inside a beautiful misunderstanding. We build small castles in our imagination. We think two hearts are walking on the same road, while in reality they might be walking in different directions.
And that’s not always someone’s fault.
Life is complicated. People carry different worries, responsibilities, fears, and dreams. Sometimes the heart wants to move closer, but circumstances build invisible walls.
That is why I believe emotional maturity is very important.
Instead of forcing someone to stay, we should learn to understand distance. Instead of complaining about silence, we should learn to listen to what silence is trying to tell us.
Not every story needs a dramatic ending. Some stories simply teach us how to grow.
For me, this journey is still ongoing. I still believe in kindness, in patience, and in honest emotions. Even if two hearts sometimes lose the road between them, the experience itself can still make us wiser.
And maybe that is the real beauty of life.
Because in the end, the goal is not only to find someone who understands our heart…
but also to become someone who understands the heart of life itself.
