Despite my busy schedule at work today, I wanted to insert some of my art-related hobbies to the mix. lol Really, I just felt like making something during my break time at work. And for this artwork, I decided to use just markers on my sketchbook.
I wanted to create an artwork of a landscape. I usually just play with the background and do some silhouettes of various things like trees and animals as the main subject. However, I wanted to do things differently today. I wanted to do the opposite of what I usually do, so I created a pale background, and let some colors pop with main subject or the foreground.
Well let me show you some progress shots on how I came up with this artwork.
Recently, I haven't been doing this, but let me prep my page with some tapes. haha xD
Pale background it is! Used blue gray (lighter color) and green gray (darker color) on this one. I'm using the broad side of the marker, so it looks like this. Well, I'd be covering them up later anyway.
These are a bunch of trees from afar. hahah And yes, I messed up with that darker line. XD But, we'll do something about that later.
I originally used white for the moon, but it's almost invisible, so fluorescent yellow it is! ^^ Of course, the moon should be there. hahaha A huge full moon hiding behind some trees. XD
I was able to hide the dark line I mistakenly placed earlier using a silver metallic marker. It really works wonder. For some highlights and variant, I used metallic markers here and there.
I added a fer more details, and I'm done. I'll just take off the tapes and write my username and signature. ^^
And there we have my artwork for today. It's the fire tree by the river. <3 I hope you like it! ^^
I'll end this post here. See you next time! (^_^)/
