It's my birthday tomorrow and yes, I'm not getting any younger. However, I'll always be young at heart.
Earlier today, a package from the online store arrived. These are the stuff I ordered which my parents actually paid for because they said they want it to be a gift for my birthday... so I was able to save. haha
I ordered three different items and they're actually additional art materials for me to use. They're affordable and are pretty useful for me since I love creating artworks or just anything that I could think of. Let's start with the unboxing!
Our doggy, Arashi, was as excited as me that he got on the table where I was doing the unboxing. He even tried to open the package by himself. haha I wanted to capture that moment, but when he noticed my phone, he suddenly stopped and went away. haha Camera shy at its finest. xD
When I took it out of the plastic, I noticed something which was outside the bubble wrap. It's a freebie and it's really cute. :)
Thank you for the freebie!!!!
These are what I ordered. There are two types of markers and a hardbound A5 sketchbook. :)
I actually already have this kind of marker. However, my papa has been using them recently... so I decided to give him my old markers and just buy a new one. When mama knew about it, she told me she and papa would pay for my orders as a birthday gift... so I didn't refuse their offer. haha
The second type of marker I bought is the metallic type. I've always wanted some metallic markers for calligraphy or just designing something.
I bought this hardbound A5 sketchbook. The paper quality is good and it's small, so it's easier to create stuff compared to bigger sketchpads. I gave my big sketchpad to papa because he wanted to practice drawing again when he has the chance. :)
I tried using my metallic marker on my sketchbook cover. Here are some progress shots of what I did.
These are just random doodles but it was so fun to do. I like how bright they look like on the black cover. I don't intend to use markers on this sketchbook, though. Most likely, I'll just do more pencil or colored pencil sketch on it.
I'll try sketch more and more and hopefully, I could also improve along the way. Of course, I'd still be painting when I have more time, so do expect more artworks from me in the days to come as well. <3
And this concludes my post for today. Thank you so much for checking it out. I'm excited to post the result of our house repainting, but I still need to sort out my pictures... so when I'm done and not very busy, I'll share it here, too.
See you again! Time to go back to work. lol
