That is interesting and I could agree with most of what it said. I don't tend to use these tools, but they obviously know what they are talking about in some cases. I saw someone use one to compare Hive and Steem. It made the right calls of which was worth using.

Witness votes do matter when it comes to Hive being stable. We have plenty of candidates. I support some of the big ones plus others working on projects I like. I have been tempted to run one myself. I wouldn't expect to make much, but I'd like to be part of the support network. Would need to get some appropriate hardware first. Apparently it is possible on a recent Pi, but a small PC may be better and not much more expensive.
