Education Ministry has closed the education fair (Education Expo) organized by an organization called Aim Worldwide, accusing the extortionists in the name of fair. Although the ministry has not only approved the fair (non-assignment) from the ministry, the organizers carried out a letter from the Ministry of Education's Ministry of External Affairs showing a letter, and demonstrated that different universities, especially private universities, will have to participate in the fair. For this reason, high amount of money is demanded in the name of the sponsor.
On Thursday, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid took the decision to close the fair with the relevant officials of the ministry.
After the meeting, the Education Minister told the journalists, "We gave anonymity only to organize a fair in accordance with previous tradition. There is a similar decision in the document. But we were surprised and amazed by the way the organizers did it through a letter using it. For this, we canceled the non-occupation of the fair. They will not be able to match again. '
Education Minister said that the letter of the letter was given in the signature of the officer (senior assistant secretary of the concerned branch) Mohammad Shah Alam), the notice was given to show him reasons. Apart from this, it is being investigated and legal action will be taken on its basis.
According to the ministry sources, Aim Worldwide organized the Education Expo from 19 to 21 September in the capital. A person named Mithun Mostafiz is the president of that organization. In the fair, some ministers, including the speaker, were told to keep a guest. For the fair, the organization has shown its associate organizer using the Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission's logo in the promotion and invitation of the Education Ministry on the non-occupation. At the same time, by mentioning the letter written by the ministry, they demanded a huge amount of money from different private universities about different types of sponsors. Not only that, copies of this letter were given to the health ministry for participation in the medical colleges.
Ministry sources said that some senior officials of the Ministry are involved here. Because a Senior Assistant Secretary can not send such a letter without the direction of the senior authority.
When contacted, Senior Assistant Secretary Shah Alam refused to comment.
