It is time for another coffee break

Looks cute from the outside
Looks cute from the outside

Here I was once again just walking around my local area looking for a nice place to take some photos, and I did. I went to the Highgate Woods and captured some nice photos. But believe me, it was a very cold day and I was freezing after a photography walk in the woods. So I have decided that before go home I wanted to sit somewhere warm and have a nice coffee to warm up and also check the photos I have just taken. And the Vanilla Cafe outdoors caught my eye, so here I go.

Cosy vibes

From the decoration to the homemade menu, the place was giving me a very family like, local, cute vibes. It is not a large place but it looks awesome and the relaxing, chill music playing on the background created an even better environment. It was exactly what I was looking for in this moment.

Almost like a "Portuguese" Coffee Shop

So in case you still don't know, I am Portuguese, and the Coffee Shop culture in Portugal is something huge, we have coffee shops every second door. When I have entered this one I got very similar vibes, from the decorations to the furniture, to the way it was organised. If you ever been in a coffee shop in Portugal let me know if you agree with me when you see this photos.

Now let's talk coffee

White Americano
White Americano

My expectations were kind of high, and that was my mistake, because I don't know why do I still keep hoping to find nice coffee blends here in the UK, you would think that after 10 years I would know it is almost impossible. But in this case once again, it was just alright, another Americano like everywhere else. Can't talk anything bad about it but also can't really give any extra praises to the coffee.

Are you a white or brown sugar kind of person?

Will visit again

In the end I have to say, that if it was further away I would not make a trip to go to Vanilla Cafe on purpose, but since it is in my local area, it is for sure on my top 3 favourite places to go for a coffee and chill.

I am excited to be getting out there to check for more new places to share and I hope I will find some good places you can visit as well.

I am a "no sugar - heavy cream with a touch of dark baking cocao" type of coffee drinking person! ☕🥛♨️

Vanilla Cafe looks like a great place to sip on fresh, hot coffee. To me it has a French vibe. Enjoyed your awesome photography though I was sorry to read you were disappointed with the java. Hopefully you will find an amazing Americano soon! @sergiomendes

Upvoted and curated!💯

hummmm so you are more a cuppucino kind of gal. Nice. eheheh Yeah I can see where you get the French bakery vibes. You are not wrong there. ohhhh here in the UK I find that the blends of coffee used are all too bitter, specially compared with the ones I was used to back in the day in Portugal. But it is fine. I think it is time to stop that comparison, after 10 years here LOL

Hi there, please note the haveyoubeenhere and pinmapple community is a travel community. Your coffee posts will be much more suited in the coffe based communities such as Cinnamon Coffee https://peakd.com/c/hive-152524/created. If you post about travel, you are more than welcome to post here and pin to pineapple. thanks

But isn't supposed to be used to create posts and tags places that we visit so we can create a list of places to visit when travel?

You can pin your post on Pinmapple in order to create a list of places you've been or for any other purpose you want. However, only travel posts should be posted to the haveyoubeenhere and pinmmaple community. Not all posts pinned to Pinmapple are travel post, and they could be more suited to other communities like photography, nature, fungi, coffee, foodie etc.

Posting your post in the most appropriate community increases your chances of curation as community curators look for certain things related to their community so it's always a good idea to choose your communities wisely

Okidoke. Thank you very much for the heads up. I thought the haveyoubeenhere community and app were to create a list of places we visit, kind of google maps/tripadvisor! I will keep that in mind and be more careful.

Eu não vivo sem café. O meu é sem açucar. O lugar parece bem legal!

Podes crer, cafe e mesmo algo tao bom.

Pois, acredito :D

Congratulations @sergiomendes! Your post brought a smile to the TravelFeed team so we have sent you a smiley. Keep up the good job. 🙂
