Nothing better than a Storm to find peaceful places

Need to admit that with all this Storms that we have been getting here in the UK it have not been easy to leave the house, not only it is not safe, it have been difficult to commute and the weather, obviously, it is terrible to get outside.

Have to say that the fact that I can now work from home, made me be really lazy for 3 or 4 days now, so I blame all this storms.

But Franklin, that was hitting when I have decided to go and visit The Archway Tavern, is not affecting London too severely. We do have continuous rain and winds that blow a little stronger than usual. But this was an opportunity for me to stop being lazy and visit this place that is usually very busy.

As I was home, planning again on another lazy day, I thought to myself: "Since the weather is really miserable, probably the majority of people are staying home". I saw it as a great opportunity to get me out of the house and come to visit The Archway Tavern. Since I thought it would be quiet I could get some work done as well. And not to my surprise I was right.

The space is awesome

Here I am in another Pub, but not a traditional English Pub, this is more of a modern version of what traditional Pubs are. There are many of this around and they usually are very nice. When I got in, as you can see in the photo there was no one else there. The Music was playing and still I felt really good. Their playlist was cool. Some bangers from the late 90s and early 00s.

While I was there getting some work done, some people came in to enjoy a drink. Many people coming in alone to just enjoy some self time. A couple of Couples coming out probably for a shilled Sunday afternoon.

The mood in the Pub on this visit was very chilled and really nice.

This big open space really invites for a party night out. Since they have a Club room that belong to them and only open on the weekend just next to the pub I can assure that this is very lively on the weekends. I have passed by many times and it always look to be on fire.

I can't wait to come and visit on a weekend to maybe have a dance party.

Sunny days sitting outside

They have a large area in the front area of the Pub with some large wood picnic tables and I can't wait for the sunny days to arrive to sit outside in this area with a cold fruity cider and some friends having a laughing and just enjoying some good time together.

This place have really big windows that allow a lot of natural light and also to overlook outside when you are in any part of the pub. That makes the space looks even bigger.

So I got myself a glass (or maybe two) of wine while I was enjoying the space, the music and getting some work done in the meanwhile. It was warm, cosy and quiet. So working with way with a glass of wine while looking outside and seeing the wind blowing and the drizzle coming down was a great way to spend my Sunday afternoon.

I totally recommend you to stop in here for a drink with friends or even if you see that is quiet from the outside, you can stop to get some work done inside if you are looking for a place.
