The second one day match of the series was played between Australia vs West Indies today at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. West Indies beat Australia by 4 wickets and level the three match one day series by 1-1. Next match will be the series decider match for the both team.


Match Highlights

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Aussie haven't started well. They have lost total 6 wickets just for 45 runs. Top orders totally failed to make a reputable score. In this situation Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc came out and made 51 runs partnership with Matthew Wade. Starc scored 19 runs in 43 balls. Wade scored 36 runs in 48 balls. After breaking their partnership team Australia again faced huge pressure. Aussie tailenders always have a good reputation to play well in worst situation and again they prove it. Aussie tailenders Zampa and Wes Agar made quick 59 runs partnership. This partnership have helped Aussie bowlers to fight against Caribbean. Zampa scored 36 runs in 62 balls and Wes Agar scored 41 runs in 36 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Finally Australia scored total 187 runs by 10 wickets in 47.1 overs.

Caribbean bowlers performed great. Akeal Hosein picked up 3 wickets for 30 runs in 10 overs. Alzarri Joseph also picked up 3 wickets for 39 runs in 8.1 overs. Cottrell picked up 2 wickets, Holder and Walsh each picked up 1 wicket.

In reply West Indies haven't started well. They have also lost their top orders early and lost total 5 wickets just for scoring 72 runs. Caribbean opener Shai Hope scored 38 runs in 43 balls including 6 fours. After losing 5 wickets Nicholas Pooran and Jason Holder made 93 runs big partnership. This is the game changing partnership and it's help them to chase down the target easily. Jason Holder scored 52 runs in 69 balls including 5 fours and a six. Nicholas Pooran scored unbeaten 59 runs in 75 balls including 2 fours and sixes.

Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc picked up 3 wickets just for 26 runs in 10 overs. Great bowling by Starc though other bowlers failed to perform their best. Zampa picked up 2 wickets and Turner 1 wicket. Nicholas Pooran was player of the match for his outstanding innings.
