RE: The suicide squad. An unnecessary movie.

in CineTV4 years ago

It could be argued that the cinematic quality was lost on you because you watched it on your laptop. The movie has all those things but "well" can be an extremely subjective term.

It has a rotten tomatoes score of 90.

It has 4 cast members that are award winners. Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, Michael Rooker, Viola Davis, Sylvester Stallone, Nathan Fillion, Joel Kinnaman honestly John Cena is such a sell out he's not worth mentioning next to the great cast. Polkadot man is a nobody and he really steals the show. Great character

The writing of the movie is hilarious and epic. It just isn't the normal pacing or layout for a movie and that's because it's an Auteur film. You can really tell Gunn made it and had a blast. If you know anything about how Suicide Squad was made, it borderlined on traumatizing the cast with all of Jared Leto's antics and the aforementioned problems in my previous reply.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions but when you write a review like this, it shows like you just didn't really take the time to come to an informed opinion or your bias was so clouded you were just never going to like the movie. Another more charitable way to view it is that the movie is just very true to the original IP and that maybe it was so much fan service that it was lost on you and went over your head.

Theres a really good animated suicide squad movie called Batman Assault on Arkham. I'd highly recommend checking it out. Maybe the first two movies just poisoned your mind to what a Suicide Squad movie should be. Ultimately the aggregate opinion of the movie disagrees with your synopsis.
