I like your idea to give some support to newcomers and get some mass adoption but I'm wondering if it can not be done by directing them to communities that works within their topics of publishing where they can get support there. Did you see the website @eco-alex set up to make it easy for searching for communities with topics you are interested in? It's at https://steemit.com/hive-123046/@ecotrain/a-new-website-to-easily-find-active-communities-on-steem I already follow some voting trails and want to keep my support there but I do like to support newcomers to communities I am involved with.
I love the intention of this I just can't see myself following that trail.
