Though no one invites it, suffering finds its way into every life. It comes silently, sometimes by struggle, sometimes through bereavement, often without warning. Suffering is to sit in the weight of what feels immovable, to taste the bitter edge of time slowing down. Still, suffering also teaches. It sharpens endurance, develops patience, and dispels delusions to expose merely reality.
The times of suffering reveal the capacity we never thought we possessed. Though it bruises, suffering has a way of turning wounds into wisdom. It makes us examine more closely, to inquire questions we would rather not have had to ask. And when it finally lets go, we see it never left us the same; it fashioned us into something more everlasting.
