My most recent change is the reconstruction of my self-perception, not skin deep. Change came as a little spark, and all of a sudden the familiar version of me was gone, substituted with anything bolder, stranger, maybe freer.
It just developed, weaving new behaviors, changing my ideas, and rewriting the beat of my days, so I call it a mutation. It did not need permission. Some might view it as a defect, a departure from the regular, but to me it seems as survival. Every change demonstrates my rejection of constancy and my ability to adjust when silence may have destroyed me. My most recent mutation is not a curse; it is my spirit and body whispering: evolve or be forgotten.
