Some people travel like procrastination is against the law. They walk away without looking back; they choose quickly, speak firmly. No drawn out arguments. No restless walking. Just clarity, action, completed. From without, it seems rather strong. Like self-assurance chiseled into bone.

Decisions made all the time give one a sense of control. Opinions do not pull you along. You are not caught in never-ending what if. You appreciate that delay may be more expensive than mistakes. Thus you travel.

But here is the silent reality. Decisiveness is not about never questioning. It is about making a choice against uncertainty. It's about taking accountability for results rather than blaming circumstances. That is maturation.

Wisdom resides still in balance, though. Decisiveness shouldn't necessarily mean always inflexible. Good leaders decide but they also listen. When fresh data surfaces, they change. They confess when they were incorrect.

True decisiveness is not rebelliousness. It is humility combined with courage. It is the capacity to be teachable while still deciding on a route and giving totally. Such kind of decisiveness fosters respect rather than terror.
