I don't think it will dip just after the sale as they have a big war chest now to keep buying but it could peak again a few weeks afterwards if they don't get any traction on base.
At least we can keep an eye on base sales and try to predict the market from that.

I mainly just been focused on posting and not much else so I'm not completely up to date.
I'll have to agree with your strategy and likely apply it myself. Best play it by ear.
