COTI is a crypto that has been around for a few years at this stage. I did have some in the past and still have some on my revolut X account but none of this is earning returns. And returns are the name of the game.
Sure we are all waiting for the price go up moment but that can take years for some projects. If they even make it that far. I've been watching @cryptoandcoffee posting on his COTI progress for ages now at this stage and with yet another price drop decided it was a good time to jump into the treasury and start my own bag.
COTI
- Core Features & Technology
Privacy Infrastructure: COTI provides programmable privacy for Web3, allowing selective data disclosure (e.g., for audits) while keeping transaction details encrypted. - EVM-Compatible Rollup: Built as an Ethereum Layer 2, it supports existing Solidity tools, enabling developers to build private DeFi, AI, and real-world asset (RWA) applications.
- Trustchain™ Protocol: Uses a Proof of Trust (PoT) consensus algorithm with a Trust Scoring Mechanism to prioritize legitimate users and deter malicious activity.
- Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG): Enables parallel transaction processing for high throughput and low fees, reducing reliance on miners.
I Didn't have any COTI live in my crypto wallets so I used the new instant transfers to move some Euro's to binance and buy some directly. The new instant transfers are great in banking and get there in less than a minute.
I withdrew to BNB for the lower fees but that was actually a mistake as the bridge from BSC to COTI is no longer operational so i had to move them back the binance and then withdraw as an ERC-20 costing me transfer funds.

I then logged onto the official COTI bridge where I could move the tokens to layer 1 and have them ready for staking.

When you log into the COTI treasury there are lots of options for staking and multipliers but you risk liquidation if you gamble with these and in today's crazy crypto markets it's not worth the risk so I stuck with the 1x multiplier and a 270D staking period. It pays at just under 5% which isn't bad and I'm hoping for some price gains in the meantime as well.
I've set a reminder for 270 days and now it's set and forget money.
Let's hope that it all keeps growing in stake and in price for the year.
