Drawing A Portrait [1879]

in HiveArte7 days ago

Hello everyone!

Today, I want to share with you my new art work. This time, I tried a portrait drawing digitally instead of my regular pen. Here, I sketched random portrait of a young man with skin cut wearing a native dress.

The portrait was done with AutoDesk sketchbook application and aided with an S-pen. I used scribble technique to create this piece.

Below are my step-by-step processes:

Thank you.

Hello bro, I saw the great work on your profile and I think it's a unique art style—I've never seen anything like it. What you do with your ballpoint pen style is magnificent 🖊. You know, I recommend you participate in the Inktober or Zingtober event from the Holozing community this October. I think it would suit your art perfectly—it's exactly the type of art for that event. I hope to see you there! I want to participate too, but I find it difficult to draw in black and white. Let's hope I can manage to create some good ones.

Greetings @maxwellmarcusart from Cuba 🇨🇺, and have an excellent Tuesday!! 😉🤝

Thanks man.
I do partake in it. I have been doing inktober for several years now and also, Zinktober that started last year.

I want to participate too, but I find it difficult to draw in black and white.

Well, we all started from somewhere and it is this kind of challenge that helped us to harness our skills. So give your best.

But I think they accept you in blue, I don't think it'll be a problem, although sometimes the community gets very strict bro!! But your talent is really unique @maxwellmarcusart! 😉🤝👌

I believe they accept both digital and traditional art.

really like how you jumped from pen to digital and still kept that loose scribbly vibe. Autodsek SketchBook with the S pen suits you,, the way you build form with quick lines is lively and the skin cut detail feels intentional not harsh. As someone who lives in spreadsheets, my cells wish they had this kind of flow :)

Yeah, that app enables me to work with scribble very well that's why I prefer it.

Makes sense, SketchBook really stays out of the way and and lets the scribble breathe :)
The way you push light and shadow with line density is really clean even when its loose.
If you switch tools later, this approach will definately still sing, but I get why you prefer this right now.
Keep rolling with it, don't overthink the polish.

Feliz día!
