Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday started a bit strangely. As usual, I didn't go to bed until super late. Except that the roofers that couldn't work on my roof on Friday arrived a bit after 7am, it was still dark outside, and I hadn't slept yet! Anyways, after asking them if they needed anything, I finally went to bed, thinking that even if cold weather is my favorite, I wouldn't want to go on the roof when it's about 20F (-6C) like it was yesterday morning. I was so tired that I actually slept in spite of the very loud noises on the roof, and Kaia going absolutely crazy because of them. In case I didn't know, yes, she's a good guard dog! Fast forward a few hours later and we were back to our usual activities, with another walk to the forest.
With all the stress caused by strangers walking around the house, on the roof, and apparently destroying everything, Kaia had a lot of excess energy to burn!
Just a few days after being cleared by the vet for all activities, she already walks in the forest like she owns the place.
But this time, we met a few people walking the trails, especially around the teepees. So we went a bit off-trail to find different ones. The location of this one is a bit weird, with that big hole in the middle.
That next one is not new to us, as it's just on the side of one of the main trails.
We walked a while looking for more oddities and cool fallen trees.
But I wanted to get back home before the roofers left, so when I saw the sun getting lower on the horizon, we started heading back.
But not before one more stop at another teepee. This one is huge and I'm surprised we never noticed it before.
And like I often say, we need deer for a walk to be complete. This one was funny, it was calling its smaller friend, or fawn maybe, to join them in that front yard. But the small one was too scared of Kaia and wouldn't cross the road until we were already far away.
Kaia wasn't the only one to be bothered by the roofers, we didn't see Le Chat until they left, after nightfall. As soon as they did, she quickly got inside the house, she was hungry! She then found a warm place to rest, she deserved it I guess.
To finish the day, a couple of long calls (I like to pace while on the phone) and a little clean up in the house made for a pretty good step count. Still no bar fail in #poprzeczka but I am not sure about Poliac, 30k is not a guarantee for a win.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
