The pear leans into the air,
its skin catching the soft weight of morning.
The apple, round with secrets,
keeps its silence on the porcelain shore.
Between them, a brush sleeps upright—
its bristles dreaming of color and movement,
of hands that once gave it flight.
In this pause,
time folds upon itself.
Fruit, wood, and bristle
become a quiet language
spoken only in light.
