arms cradling empty buckets
like tomorrow’s promise.
No gold in her purse,
but in her stride—
a quiet kind of wealth.
Each pail echoes stories:
early dawns,
dusty feet,
water lines wrapped in chatter.
There’s a strength here
that doesn’t roar—
only moves.
Effort,
unseen but relentless,
in the shape of a woman
who fetches more than water.
