Blessed day lovers of cooking and good food, I hope you are well. Welcome once again to my blog. Today I'm excited to participate again in the The Hive Creative Contest organized by friend @zord189 in collaboration with @foodiesunite.
This time, the star of the dish will be pasta and since I love the dishes where this food is present, I wanted to take a little more care than usual in the presentation of this post and pay a humble tribute to pasta with a quick and fun photo shoot.
Pasta is the favorite food of many for its versatility.
It is something easy and quick to prepare. It combines very well with any other ingredient and comes in many forms and presentations.
You can prepare dishes as simple as macaroni and cheese, to the most sophisticated as a carbonara pasta or a fettuccine with shrimp. However, there are many people who, like me, cannot eat it as often as I do because of the gluten it contains.
That is why when I dare to eat a pasta dish, I prefer it to be an exquisite, tasty and out of the ordinary dish, so that it is worth the audacity hehe.
Decidí llamar a mi platillo "Pasta al sillao" ya que consiste en una pasta con pollo y vegetales salteados bañados en salsa de soya (sillao).
This dish is my version of the popular Peruvian dish "Tallarín saltado" which is a fusion of Peruvian and Chinese food. This type of fusion between both cuisines is called "Chifa". However, the noodle stir-fry is made with beef, it also has a touch of ginger and other ingredients that I did not include in my dish.
I decided to call my dish "Pasta al sillao" as it consists of pasta with chicken and sautéed vegetables bathed in soy sauce (sillao).
- 250 grams of spaghetti
- 500 grams of chicken breast cut into pieces.
- 1 small carrot cut into thin diagonal pieces.
- 1 bell bell pepper cut into medium pieces.
- 1 celery stalk in diagonal cuts.
- 1 small onion julienned
- 50 ml soy sauce
#1
The first step is to cook the pasta, taking care that it does not become too soft. Let it cool while preparing the rest of the ingredients.
#2
Next, dress the chicken breast. Use salt, mustard, garlic sauce and black pepper. Set aside while the vegetables are being cut.
#3
Cut the vegetables into diagonal, medium-sized slices.
#4
Then place a non-stick frying pan over high heat with a little oil. When the oil is very hot, add the chicken pieces and stir until it is completely sealed.
#5
Next, add the vegetables and lower the heat. Cover them for about 8 minutes so that the carrot cooks a little with the steam. Then uncover and continue cooking over low heat.
#6
Then add the pasta and the soy sauce little by little and stir, mixing everything very well until the spaghetti is colored with the soy sauce. Remove from the heat and leave in the pan to keep warm until serving and tasting.

This way we have a delicious pasta with chicken, sautéed vegetables and lots of soy sauce. I can tell you that it was very tasty, so much so that it provoked me to eat it straight out of the pan haha, but not to be rude and to continue with the photo shoot, I served it in its plate and then I tasted it.
