BTC - Sorry Craig Wright, the New Year is here and Bitcoin didn't die

Craig Wright said a "fatal flaw" would kill bitcoin by the end of 2019

A new year is upon is and guess what, bitcoin didn't die.

That may not sound like that big of a deal, but it does go against a prophecy the self-proclaimed bitcoin creator Craig Wright made back in November of 2018.

His exact words when discussing bitcoin and this "fatal flaw":

"There won’t be any BTC by the end of next year.”

Looks like the self proclaimed bitcoin creator got this one wildly wrong.

Why did he make this claim?

At the time, Wright was likely trying to make investors panic and move over into his fork of bitcoin, BSV.

He was saying that BSV was the real bitcoin and that it would go on a meteoric rise that takes prices up over $1,200 by the end of 2019.

By that time he said, there will be no BTC.

The interesting thing about bitcoin is that not only is it not dead, it was the best performing asset in 2019.

Check it out:

It just about doubled the returns of the second best performing asset for all of last year.

That doesn't really look like something that is dying or about to die to me.

The dark side of predictions...

We as humans love to make predictions and prophecies, but the bad thing about predictions is that eventually they are either proven right or proven wrong.

And if they are proven to be wildly wrong, sometimes we gotta eat some crow.

Enjoy your crow Mr. Wright, you certainly should be eating some!

Stay informed my friends.

Faketoshi is such a scam and a conman, quite delusional.

Yep, there is some sort of mental health issue going on there for sure.

Craig Wright is going to go down in history as one of the biggest hacks in the space. Everything he says and does is ridiculous. He brings nothing to the table.

The funny thing about all this is that it was obvious from the start. The source code of Bitcoin and SV are almost identical. Anyone can see that the "fatal flaw" must exist in the small amount of code that is different. Bitcoin has been under attack 24/7 worldwide for the last decade. There is no such flaw.

Agreed, on both fronts.

I have to admit that there was a small part of me that thought he might be for real. Goes to show how effective propaganda campaigns are at interfering with cognitive processes. I'm glad to see that my thinking was right and that the fears that I discounted were wrong. It's a near certainty at this point that Craig Wrong is probably going to do time soon for some form of fraud and that he is not, nor does he gave any connection with, the real Satoshi.

Well there does seem to be a lot of evidence that he was there towards the beginning. I don't think he was satoshi himself, but he seems to claim him and Dave Kleiman (and possibly one other guy?) were the main creators. Perhaps it was Kleiman that was more of the level headed Satoshi type.
