Hola Friends,
I'll love to share with you all a sculpture piece of mine that taught me life lesson. I made this sculpture piece as an undergraduate and the challenges i had making this piece is one I'll never forget. The sculpture piece was supposed to be a half life size sculpture of a man as seen in below images but due to unsuccessful stages in sculpture process I lost some part of the works and I end up with just this little piece of the head part.
This challenge actually got me failed that course that particular year. My lecturer wasn't ready to listen to my predicament. But then, outside the course and outside the assignment I discovered a true art piece that tell the story of life experience.
I title this piece "Survival. (Part of a whole") in other words the head is the part out of the whole body that survived. And my description for this masterpiece goes does.
Behind every survival, there is an experience, conquered challenges, pain, courage, scars, decisions made, and victory. And after every survival, there are sparks of change. We tend not to return as our former selves; instead, a rugged side of us emerges, revealing the resilient spirit that rises above life's trials. This sculpture piece shows what it's like to go through tough times and come out stronger. It tells a story of facing challenges, feeling pain, finding courage, carrying scars, and making important decisions. The figure looks different, a bit rough, just like how surviving changes us. It's a reminder of the strength we discover in overcoming trials.
