You go at your speed, don't think about "I am not doing as much as him..." kind of thing that usually demoralises people in life. Think positively, as in... "I am doing something"! And you are learning, and as you learn, you will adapt many things in life.

Keep going and sometimes look back (but just to reflect on the path you have been choosing - it helps reassess your effort).
