RE: What would ad revenue do for the Hive eco-system?

in LeoFinance3 years ago

We've just gotta make a clear distinction between ad revenue being generated via a centrally owned domain and the underlying decentralised Hive network.

It's the centrally owned and operated front-ends like LeoFinance, PeakD, Ecency etc that can generate revenue via ads (or whatever other revenue model they employ on their domain).

Then use that revenue to pay out rewards/conduct buybacks on their own layer-2 token.

This is entirely up to how the front-ends operate as businesses, not Hive itself.

That's true enough and to be honest I see a time coming where hive is not distributed by voting rewards in the future.

Instead that it becomes a layer one token distributed to block producers and stakers with layer two solutions built in this manner to reward the app users.

It would remove a lot of the fighting over rewards form the base layer and give people a reason to purchase form the markets for a guaranteed return.

Earn LEO or PEAK and trade for hive on a DEX.
