Minimal regression in pull-ups... my training diary entry from August 24 2026

(Here is another photo from my acquaintance's allotment garden. There were a great many ducks present during my last visit.)

Hi Actifitters,

unfortunately, I cannot report any improvement regarding yesterday's pull-up workout; in fact, I managed one less repetition in the final set. Perhaps this is due to the nearly two kilos of extra weight I'm carrying compared to my last session. Be that as it may, I am naturally not letting myself get discouraged and remain optimistic that things will soon be looking up again.

In addition to a few other dumbbell exercises, I only completed a 30-minute recovery ride on the indoor bike.

Mission 80 (Day 57 = 87.4 kg / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = 2.6 kg)

Fortunately, today I can once again report a weight loss of 600 grams. This brings my total weight loss after exactly eight weeks to 2.6 kilograms, which corresponds to a weekly average of 325 grams.

Today’s plan includes close-grip push-ups and a threshold workout on the bike again. More on that in tomorrow’s post.

Are you depending on muscle training to change your eating habits?

I make a conscious effort to eat enough protein to promote muscle growth.
