Hyacinths in my garden 🌸
I have been practising yoga for about 20 years. At first it was Iyengar yoga which focuses on precision of alignment and the use of props. Then I did more Ashtanga yoga which is fast paced, dynamic and a sequence of asanas (poses). More recently, as I move into midlife, I prefer kundalini, yin, general hatha and restorative yoga. I do tire of the vinyasa sequence which is a staple of Jivamukti and Ashtanga yoga. Forrest Yoga (from the US) felt awkward and jarring to practice and Bikram or Hot Yoga has never appealed as in Chinese medical terms, I have too much fire, heat or yang energy in my body🧘🏻♀️
This evening I went to a yin yoga class - a good way to finish one week and start the next 🙏🏽
