All aboard! The weekend has flown by, but that’s what happens when you’re having fun! We spent the weekend with Bill and Agi. Saturday was a family party, some folks we’d not seen in 9 years! It was a lovely time! Then yesterday, Bill suggested riding the Snoqualmie Scenic Train. So that’s what we did!
It’s run by Puget Sound Electric Railway.
When we boarded, the first car appeared to be from the 40’s or 50’s.
But wait! That next car looks ever so much more interesting! So when we stopped in Snoqualmie for some passengers to board, we jumped cars! We were right! It was ever so much more interesting!
This particular car was nicely restored from 1912! The wood was mahogany and some of seats were original velvet from then stuffed with horsehair! It had beautiful stained glass.
We were headed to Snoqualmie Falls! This vantage point would have us on the opposite side of the river where we’ve observed the falls on previous trips. Some views along the way.
If you look at this next picture towards the bottom left side, you can see a couple of either brave or crazy kayakers. I presume they would get out of the river before getting to the falls!
Hmmmm….which view should I take?
In this next picture, you can see the infamous Snoqualmie Inn where the series from 1990, Twin Peaks, was filmed.
Here is when the river flows into the hydroelectric system just before the falls.
A side run of an auxiliary falls.
All in all, to really get the full brunt of the falls, you need to go back to the other side, such as this pic I took back at Christmastime.
More eye candy from other adventures yesterday.
It was a lovely weekend but much too short. Agi had to go to work today and we had to head for home. Fair-wells are always sad. 😢
Here’s the video that wouldn’t load yesterday. Bill told Phoenix to ‘stay’ and she did until he gave the command to come! Enjoy!
That’s gonna be it for today. Take care as always and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏

NKJV Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the LORD;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the LORD.
