Last night’s dinner with our son Michael and his wife Christine was nice. We met in Lynden at the Rustler Steakhouse.
The food was good and portions generous. I had a taste of something I’d not had before: frickles. Michael ordered them. They look kind of like French fries but are battered pickle strips deep fried. They were surprisingly good! 👍
After dinner, we went back to their house for the evening. Christine has developed quite the green thumb! The house is surrounded by shrubs and flowers. Shrubs on the front and flowers on the sides and back.
Digitalis-my favorite!
Father and son. 😊
The only downside was that Michael had some prawns with his meal. The rest of us didn’t and that was the only thing he had different from us. He ended up with food poisoning. 😔 He was sick for quite a while last night after we had left. He is much better today. Although the steakhouse is newer, I’m not sure we’d go back. However, we don’t really eat out much anymore anyway. 😏
More flowers-the bees 🐝 apparently like this flower enough to just sit there. It was getting cooler and maybe that was making them sluggish. I actually touched one trying to see if he was alive or not! 🐝
There was a lovely pink dogwood as well.
Tomorrow is Memorial Day where we honor the veterans who died in the service to our country. Thank you for your sacrifice.
That’s it for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

BSB Acts 2:1-4
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
