Cool and green and shady! Happy Wednesday ‘hump’ day everybody!
Ever notice how pretty the landscape is during spring and early summer? Everything is so brand new and so seriously green! Did you know that the human eye is the greatest preceptor of the color green? We can in fact, see up to 300 different shades of green! That’s a lot of green!😎
Green is everywhere around us from the trees, to the bushes, to the ferns, to the moss, and various other plants that grow around us every day. This is especially apparent up here in the Pacific Northwest.
Green is also a color that a lot of people associate relaxation with. When you take a look at a picture like the very first one in this post, you immediately relax, looking at it, the green ferns lusciousness; the bubbling brook with various green plants growing around it. Very nice!
This Ginko Biloba tree has a bit of yellow green about it. It’s beautiful in its simplicity.
The growth of newborn needles on a spruce tree are soft to the touch.
What’s more, dotted amongst all of the green are various intense colors of flowers everywhere. In my neck of the woods something is blooming from about March all the way, sometimes through December even! I find lots of shades of purple, which, of course is my favorite color, but there are also lots of shades of yellow and pink and varying colors of other flowers.
John Denver once wrote a song about cool and green and shady.
That’s gonna be it for me. Take care and be sure to enjoy someplace cool and green and shady!
Enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌱🙏

BSB Psalm 5:11-12
But let all who take refuge in You rejoice;
let them ever shout for joy.
May You shelter them,
that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.
For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous;
You surround them with the shield of Your favor.
