We made it home today, and none too soon in Cot and Cyle’s opinion! 😸
The car repair went quickly last night and @silvertop and Bill were pleased with the outcome. We were going to leave -again, and hopefully get home. The good thing about the delay? It bought more time with Bill, Agi and baby Olivia! 😍
So after a dead to the world sleep last night ( for me anyway) we got up this morning and after showers, took a hike to North Bend to get a much needed Starbucks! The first picture is of I-90 overpass that would be the beginning source of the journey home. This sight greeted us as we hiked out of the townhome complex.
The closer we got, the more intense the color from the morning sun!
A little further down the road.
Once reaching the store, we sat outside enjoying the hot brew in the crispy mountain air. It was in the mid forties and was wonderful! We hiked back to their home where Bill was creating a lovely breakfast for us all. Phoenix was busy trying to coax a bite now and again.
It was soon time to leave. I hate goodbyes so we quickly got them over with and left. 🥲
We were both a bit nervous as we needed to travel over 100 miles on a new car repair that was mostly untested. I spent quite a bit of time watching my engine temperature as the belt that broke runs the alternator, the power steering, and the water pump. I figured between the steering and the water temp, I’d know right quickly if something was amiss. 😅
About 40 miles out from Bellingham, I got off the expressway and went to our travel stop Starbucks and to get some gas. I needed to get out and stretch my legs a bit. Traffic had been much better this time than when we went on Saturday. I was glad for it!
When we got home, Cot greeted us asking why we were late getting home! Cyle was ‘yowling’ and looked concerned, lol.
Later as I was unpacking, Cot jumped up on the bed and got beneath one of the bags I’d used to tote things in. It was if he were saying, ‘you aren’t going anywhere!’
I almost forgot-I found a pretty moth on a light fixture near the dog park at the townhome complex.
Now I suppose, things will go back to normal. I’m missing Bill, Agi and Olivia, but we will see them again soon.
That’s it for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

NKJV Jeremiah 31:2-6
Thus says the LORD:
“The people who survived the sword
Found grace in the wilderness—
Israel, when I went to give him rest.”
The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
You shall again be adorned with your tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.
You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria;
The planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food.
For there shall be a day
When the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim,
Arise, and let us go up to Zion,
To the LORD our God.’
