Happy Tuesday to all!
Today was what I call water Tuesday. An odd name for sure, but you see, we were headed to the town of Sumas; specifically their City Hall. Outside of that building is a fire hydrant many know well. Why you ask? Well, if you’re a farmer, you can purchase up to 2100 gallons for $21.00. You can give your livestock extra water should you have issues. For us? Well, we have an inflatable hot tub that needed filling! This allows us to purchase the water and fill up the hot tub comparatively quickly compared to the well which @silvertop will trickle to fill it up. ( there’s a story behind why but that’s for another day)
Last year was the first time we had done it through the fire hydrant and we’d learned a few things from that experience! First, get a fire hydrant adapter to a garden hose! That way, you don’t water yourself, the inside of the truck, the passing cars nor the building across the street! Getting that adapter simplified things tremendously! We were filled and ready to roll within 15-ish minutes! Taking the backroads home and to get up the least steep hills, we arrived, connected the garden hoses and within 40 minutes, were ready to head back for fill number two. The water bladder holds 130 gallons and it takes two trips to fill the hot tub. The tub holds around 270 gallons and is currently heating. I’m hoping it will be up to temperature by tomorrow afternoon late as otherwise, I’ll have to wait until the weekend to get in. That would be sad!😔
Along the way today, I took some scenic pictures. Enjoy the photos!
Happy cows! 🐄
Later in the afternoon, we took a short hike. Jan came with.
I noticed this deer print at the trailhead.
Then I discovered more heading in the same direction we were going.
That’s gonna be it for today. Tomorrow is ladies Bible study. I’m looking forward to it. Fingers crossed 🤞 the hot tub heats in time for a dunking tomorrow afternoon late. Take care always and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏

NKJV Psalm 100:1-5
Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
