Who ever thinks of black and white images when looking at buildings? It happens to me very often, even more so when I look at this type of giant, historic buildings with classic, monumentalist architectural styles and if we add these Doric style columns, it is a click to visualize them in black and white, with shadows and interesting compositions.
¿A quién le pasa por la mente imágenes en blanco y negro cuando miran edificios? A mí me pasa muy seguido, más aún cuando miro este tipo de edificios gigantes, históricos y con estilos de arquitectura clásicos, monumentalistas y si le añadimos éstas columnas de estilo dóricas, es un click para visualizarlas en blanco y negro, con sombras y composiciones interesantes.
This is the law school building, located in the Recoleta neighborhood. A structure that is the headquarters of this school and part of the University of Buenos Aires. Imposing at first sight and fascinating in its entirety, which leads many people to visit, climb its many steps and sit on the outskirts of its giant facade.
Place of many encounters for portrait photo shoots, also ideal for street and black and white photography as I present today in this post, which is part of my entry for the monomad challenge 🙂
Éste es el edificio de la facultad de derecho, situado en el barrio de Recoleta. Una estructura que es sede de esta escuela y firma parte de la universidad de Buenos Aires. Imponente a simple vista y que fascina en su totalidad, lo que lleva a muchas personas a visitar, subir sus numerosos escalones y sentarse en las afueras de su gigante fachada.
Lugar de muchísimos encuentros para sesiones fotográficas de retratos, también ideal para la fotografía de calle y en blanco y negro como hoy les presento en este post, el cual forma parte de mi entrada para el reto monomad 🙂
From various angles or perspectives this building is simply beautiful and any capture is quite striking. Adding some people who through their passing entered my lens while I was framing, I took some shots, which gave compositions with different kinds of emotions.
For these photos my camera had a 55-200mm lens with which I took several photos, some time later I decided to replace it with the 18-55mm kit lens, because for some shots where I wanted the building to enter in its entirety I needed less focal length and the 18mm was the right one.
Desde diversos ángulos o perspectivas este edificio es simplemente hermoso y cualquier captura es bastante llamativa. Añadiendo a algunas personas que a través de su paso entraban en mi lente mientras encuadraba, hice algunas tomas, las cuales dieron composiciones con diferentes tipos de emociones.
Para éstas fotos mi cámara tenía puesta un lente 55-200mm con el cual hice varias fotos, tiempo después decidí reemplazarlo por el lente de kit 18-55mm, pues para algunas tomas dónde quería que el edificio entrara en su totalidad necesitaba menos distancia focal y el 18mm era el indicado.
