Ah lad that sounds like me 5 years ago. I don't travel with work anymore but I used to be in hotels every week for at least 1 night. Some people used to get sick of them but there's nothing like a steak and red wine (on me own) in a hotel . And a couple of pints after it. Yep Guinness can be hit or miss but your one looks nice . Although I would rarely get a dodgy pint of the black stuff in Dublin. Its always top class up there
Ya I only travel occasionally for work these days, if one of the engineers is sick or if the lads are swamped and need a hand or if I have to attend business meetings in person. A steak and a glass or two of Rioja are a given on these stays as you say and good point too about the black stuff up in Dublin, always solid - some cracking Guinness pubs up there - Mulligans, Mcdaids, The Palace, Neerys, The Long Hall to name a few.
Ah jaysus the Long Hall. Love that place. Like Mcdaids as well when it's not packed. I was always a fan of Cassidys and O Donoghues. Do you know what though. My guilty pleasure is heading to templebar to The Quays and watching an aul band at 4pm in the day with all the drunk tourist. It's worth the 9 euro you pay for the pint.
Here bud theres a mad Korean chicken burger joint near The Long Hall called Chimac. Get yourself in there for a burger. Unbelievable.
