There is one thing that could be done, a letter to Microsoft, asking them to block Tron and Steemit from git-hub. Microsoft has shut down other developers, so that could be an option, I don't know what would happen but if only the HF 22.5 or whatever Sun called it code is blocked on git-hub, then the original code might stand a chance of being re-implemented.

So another Knee-Jerk reaction, I hope there are fewer and fewer of those as time goes by. Maybe in the future developers/front ends other than steemit will be allowed to put forth code changes to the witnesses. I semi-remember that steempeak had some they were planning on for after the SMT hard fork.

I think the users may be able to move past it all, but the trust that was shaky to begin with, is on very soft ground and to many more tremors may just liquefy the ground it is sitting on.

I don't think the github thing affects it as there are alternatives. They use it our of industry standard and convenience I guess.

Lots of interesting things going on and I think that most users don't even know this has even happened yet.

I myself am unsure of what happened, I did see the writing on the wall of a war starting, people believed it was not possible to hand pick the top 20, that it could not be done. Perhaps this can become only the first hits, and calmer heads will prevail, but I doubt that, so it is steem as usual for me. An occasional post, and comments and opinions on what I read. And of course powering up, I still have slightly over two years to go before decision time.

SMT's I would guess are off the table since Tron has their own form of that. So it is wait and see time still.

!ENGAGE 25 They might still work, who knows, one day those could be worth more than steem.
