A few hotel pints of Guinness for Beer Saturday

Beer Saturday

It's hard to believe but it's Saturday once again and we all know that means Beer Saturday. I was in Dublin last week for work so my pint for Beer Saturday actually happened on Wednesday evening when I got back to the hotel after a tough day's work.

Hotel pints can sometimes be a bit... how can I put it.... Shit! But luckily for me this wasn't the case in this instance and they were actually decent and a good job too, as they certainly weren't cheap at €6.80 a pop. So I was tucking into my steak dinner, which I always enjoy with a nice glass of red wine, a tasty Rioja in this case and I noticed some American tourists enjoying some creamy looking Guinness. Note to self I thought, you'll have to sample one of them bad boys. So once my steak and wine was polished, I ordered a pint of the Black stuff and gave it a go.

It was a Wednesday too so I had around 60 songs to listen to and curate for #ThreeTuneTuesday, so I brought my laptop with me as I was staying alone at the hotel and it takes a lot of time to curate that many songs. I enjoyed two creamy pints and returned to my room to finish my post.

Hopefully you are enjoying a glass of beer or something else like a cup of tea or whatever, wherever you find yourself this evening and that everything is good in your neck of the woods. Big thanks to @detlev as always for keeping this show on the road.

These photos are all my own captured on my Samsung Smartphone

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.

Peace Out

Ah lad that sounds like me 5 years ago. I don't travel with work anymore but I used to be in hotels every week for at least 1 night. Some people used to get sick of them but there's nothing like a steak and red wine (on me own) in a hotel . And a couple of pints after it. Yep Guinness can be hit or miss but your one looks nice . Although I would rarely get a dodgy pint of the black stuff in Dublin. Its always top class up there

Ya I only travel occasionally for work these days, if one of the engineers is sick or if the lads are swamped and need a hand or if I have to attend business meetings in person. A steak and a glass or two of Rioja are a given on these stays as you say and good point too about the black stuff up in Dublin, always solid - some cracking Guinness pubs up there - Mulligans, Mcdaids, The Palace, Neerys, The Long Hall to name a few.

Ah jaysus the Long Hall. Love that place. Like Mcdaids as well when it's not packed. I was always a fan of Cassidys and O Donoghues. Do you know what though. My guilty pleasure is heading to templebar to The Quays and watching an aul band at 4pm in the day with all the drunk tourist. It's worth the 9 euro you pay for the pint.

Here bud theres a mad Korean chicken burger joint near The Long Hall called Chimac. Get yourself in there for a burger. Unbelievable.

Cheers brother, hope you been good. Appreciate your support, its my mission to see you on this upcoming tuesday, its been too long and we gotta keep rockin.

Good man Quack, always good to hear from you auld stock and hopefully you can rock it up this Tuesday or some Tuesday soon, sure see what you can do.

No better way to finish a Wednesday hump day, than with a couple pints of the nectar from the gods. Looks super creamy too, gets my vote 👌

nectar from the gods

You've got to be Irish with a turn of phrase like that! It was a great way to finish off a busy Wednesday alright, no doubt about it..
