It wouldn't be for me but more power to you! At U14s I wasn't brave enough to block people down. I loved ground hurling on tarmac but I suppose that's more like hockey than hurling

Probably closer to hockey alright but still a great fast sport to play.
Where did you come across it underage?
I grew up in Offaly, so played hurling underage until 14 or so.
The hurling coach that came to school had days where he got us to play ground hurling to sharpen those skills and also if it was raining indoor hurling was always ground hurling.
I live in Canada now but still support Offaly hurling (and Clare as both parents are from Clare).
