Decentralized stablecoins are very important for everyday usage. This does not mean there must be perfect stability. What we need is something of a predictable currency that is not going to have major price swings. As long as there is a predictable range of price movement, a currency can be used for everyday purchases. This is how a significant portion of trade is being done all over the world. Forex rates between currencies fluctuate all the time. Stable economies maintain a mostly stable exchange rate across each other.
Dark Energy Crystals is made to be a product backed stablecoin. Purchase are handled in DEC and CREDITS on @splinterlands market and Booster Packs can be bought with 1000 DEC valued at $1 or above. With inflation under control and proper downwards pressure via SPS conversions to DEC, somewhat of a stable peg can be maintained.
We came very close to $1 after the initial announcement of the changes. As someone with 218K DEC, these pumps are a pleasant sight to see. SPS earnings from Ranked Battles are doing more than replacing DEC. The SPS earned has better value as an investment while also providing more utility. So far we have:

- Interest Earnings
- Future Airdrops
There are more uses planned for SPS. As I have previously said, $5 SPS can very much be a reality.

As @splinterlands team had mentioned before Modern vs Wild release, players are in a circumstance where they have to pick one of the two and stick with it. With the collection I have built over the years (since before there was gameplay in @splinterlands) it only make sense for me to stick with Wild. Else I will have to rent all the old Cards and earn passive income from it.

Over time I have come to care less and less about Rewards I'm earning. It is more about the long game now. Whatever I earn is likely to be worth a lot more in the future. Gameplay has become another way of dollar cost averaging with some RNG mixed in.

Going forward, this will be the only way I would grow my DEC. There could be few DEC coming to my wallet in other investments such as HODLing Tokens that pay dividends. Those would hardly make a difference. I do not provide liquidity and have no such plans for the future either.

These days I feel that I have more than enough VOUCHERs. Eventually I might sell some of them to get more SPS in my hands as I am massively bullish on SPS as a potential 100X coin.
