It's nice to see DEC price go up but I am kind of sad to see it go away but rentals still have to be paid in DEC. So I wonder when they will make the swap for rentals over to SPS.

I don't think @splinterlands will make that switch. DEC is designed to be like a stablecoin with a soft peg of 1000 DEC = $1
The entire goals is to keep the prices predictable and stable in contrast to the extremely volatile cryptosphere. The developers could use a stablecoin instead, but that opens up third party dependence and a loss of control.
