RE: It's easy to follow the crowd.

I could have a million in the banks and still want to go for a game of golf and a few pints with my mates. Money wouldn't change any of that or what's important to me.

Golf is most places of the world is still considered to be for the happy few.
And what else should we do with our time if we didn't need to work? :)

I do see this, following the influencers, as one of the biggest danger also for the Hive blogging part of the blockchain. If you did read my posts recently, you know that I fear that Hive is becoming an photoalbum, cooking book and even a dictionary.
Here people write about the popular topics just to earn. On other social media, the follow the influencers to be hip and get some attention.

I always did consider myself a lone ranger. And the more time I spend here, to more that confirms this. I do hope that I will be able to keep on finding the motivation to stay active. Because I do love it.

Most outside people don't like long form posts or blogs but there is a place for it and for the short form too.

I always felt that hive tries to cater to too many tastes in the one site and that we need sperate sites for each type of content and community.

Someday we might have real breakaway communities where people can find what interests them.

At the moment we're working on something sports related so that might help you stay interested when it's sports specific and people are only there for sports if it works out.....

It's the way forward if it was possible for each community to break away and built their own space for each subject with external members who know nothing about hive or the inner workings. Just sports or movies or ww2 history or whatever people are actually interested in.

Interesting to hear that a sports project is in the pipeline. If I can help, let me know!
