You have just transported my back to Laos, where we met these other backpackers (from Leeds) and had a mad few days with them on a little island called Don Det on Mekong river. One of them always said Top Banana with a big Yorkshire accent and he used to have little Laos langauge nuggets with his big Yorkshire accent, like Khop Jai (thank you) or Khoy Hew Khao (I'm hungry) It's mad how a certain phrase can bring you back to a time and place!
Hehe, it was quite the popular phrase here back in the day. I have always liked it! Sounds like som proper good times were had!
