RE: Pink Floyd - Three Tune Tuesday - Song Recommendations Week 31 🗣🎶

in Music • 2 years ago

Pink Floyd. Unreal solo in comfortably numb. I never heard the second song and I quite like it. Money is a mad one.
My favourite song by them is In the Flesh,

I know the lyrics are a bit outdated with the old racist but I love the guitar.
Staying with the theme of listening to the auld sombre bands, Song of the Week for me this week is Emeralds by Bears Den. Afew years old now but my favourite song by them.

My third song is a band that I was dragged to see before this pandemic kicked in. Not my type of music but I've been a fan ever since. I bearly got out of there alive. I had foot prints on my shirt after it. It's from Idles. This punk band from England who sound like they are the Brexit brigade but the wonderful thing is that they are singing against right wing Britain. Their lyrics are class. Look up their tiny desk to get a feel for them but check out the lyrics in this song. Lead guitarist is a dentist would you believe.

anyway that's my 3 this week buddy.

Ya Into the Flesh is a great track as well, I went to see Roger Waters up in the Point Depot or whatever they call it now around ten years ago. The Gig was class and Roger and his band played the Wall from start to finish. Musically and visually it was pure class, fair enough it wasn't Pink Floyd live, but it was as close as I could get without Michael J. Fox, a DeLorean and a Flux Capacitor!

Bears Den definitely fit the bill for the sombre genre, so as a result are right up my street :) Will check some more of their tunes...

You kept the best for last here, loving this tune by Idels tune man. It is one of those songs that you nearly have to listen to while watching the video 👌 👌

I had foot prints on my shirt after it.

Ha ha ha, I can just picture it! Not a gig I'd typically go to, but after listening to that, I'd definitely go see them, footsteps on the shirt and all..
